SOLIDWORKS 2020 introduces a new Print3D dialog that makes it easier than ever to prepare for additive manufacturing. Simply select the target machine and set the orientation to preview the build volume and see if it will fit your preferred machine. Automatic orientation and placement tools simplify the setup process, and draft analysis checks for faces that will require supports during print. The layer line previews allow you to check resolution in features of interest and see how they land on holes and other faces.

Markforged printers use the Eiger interface to setup and slice parts. Turbo infil and turbo supports makes the printing speed faster where it won’t impact the surface finish or strength of the part.
